Adoption My Story

The Story begins    My story started I guess when I was about 4-5 years old, when my adopted parents had told me I was adopted. I would say as I grew a bit older probably around the 8yrs old I would think every night, why what, where, how did happen this me. Did I have a birth mother, was she still alive? and a million different questions and scenarios played out in my mind every night. My story only got more interesting as I grew older and questions and answers more intriguing to say the least. When I got married and we had kids when my first daughter was born, she was the first person I was truly related to and to say this was overwhelming is an understatement, but this switched something on in me to find my birth mother and answer all those questions and scenarios Now this was the late 80s and internet, what was that? Lol It was many trips to the state library requests to Births Deaths Marriages etc. One request to Births Deaths Marriages took 3 years to hear back fro...

The Worlds Ordinary People

Whats the current happens in the world?  Most countries in Europe are fighting financial crisis, and even some of the other financial power houses of the last 4 or 5 decades are struggling.  Leaders have been overthrown in others , maybe not leaders but more to the point dictators overthrown by people power.  So what part do the ordinary people play in this ? I think that governments every where will realise over the next maybe 2 , 3, 4 decades that it is the ordinary people that will have the power and not governments. Why could this be so ?  Well I believe what governments were able to control for such a long time was the supply of information to the people. They always had some sort of control on it, or censorship they could always filter, limit, control what people seen, heard, or had access to. But all this has been changing faster then governments could adapt. The age of new technologies is on us the use of the internet , the ever increasing social medi...

Well after years of having so many false hopes and starts on losing the extra kilos. what needed to change for me to make a fair dinkum start ? There really was only one thing that had to happen and that had to come from me ... It weren't going to come from anywhere else. Now I'd already been going to the gym for a couple of years trying to make a start at it but really thought I'd turn up and exercise and the weight would just fall off right ?  Oh how wrong was that ... there was no way it was going to just happen. Now it just so happens the gym was have a weight loss challenge starting in Oct 2010,,  60 days it goes for 8 weeks ... they had other challenges over the years but they had always been in winter time and I'd just never made the commitment to do them..
