William and Sarah arrived in Australia on the 4 th September 1849 on the Ship “ Victoria” William was 51yrs old and a gardener and Sarah 44yrs and house servant at the time of arrival Sarah Russell nee Lavis They travelled with their children William Russell 1822–1864 who was 26yrs old and married to Ann nee Loxton 1828-1877 Ann was 21 years old Joseph Russell 1825 -1883 who was 24yrs old and married to Elizabeth nee George 26yrs year old.
